Learn how to use Context in mAIscribe to provide additional details - past conditions, private notes, and instructions - without verbalizing them during a consultation.
What Is Context in mAIscribe?
Not everything needs to be said out loud during a consultation. Some details - like sensitive notes, past conditions, or AI instructions - are better kept private.
That’s where Context comes in.
By utilizing Context, you can provide additional information at any point - before, during, or after a consultation - which aids mAIscribe in producing notes that are more accurate and relevant.
How to Use Context in mAIscribe
1. Add Past Context
Use this section to provide background information, such as:
- A patient’s chronic conditions or history relevant to today’s visit.
- Notes from previous consultations that the AI should consider.
💡 Example: If a patient has recurrent migraines, adding this as Past Context helps mAIscribe recognize patterns and suggest relevant notes.
2. Use Today’s Context
Here, you can add:
- Notes you don’t want to say out loud in front of the patient.
- Specific instructions for the AI (e.g., “Emphasize lifestyle changes in the summary”).
- Examination findings or questionnaire results.
💡 Example: If a patient presents with chest pain but you suspect anxiety, you can note “Consider anxiety-related causes” in Today’s Context.
Note: Once the patient has exited, you can choose to resume recording instead of typing. This allows you to include:
- Extra reflections or assessments.
- Additional instructions for the AI before finalising notes.
Why Use Context?
🔹 More accurate notes – Help the AI understand what’s important without saying it out loud.
🔹 Greater control – Ensure your notes reflect what matters most.
🔹 Better efficiency – Reduce editing time by guiding the AI upfront.
