How to use Maia with your EMR

A step-by-step guide to syncing patient data from your EMR to mAIscribe using Maia - your new Medical AI Agent (MAIA)

Before You Begin:

Note: Maia is currently available for doctors using Best Practice and Windows. Expanding to other EMRs and macOS are in the roadmap.

Sync Workflow

  1. Open the patient record in BP

  2. On your Google browser, open mAIscribe

  3. Click the "Start" button and start recording. mAIscribe will identify the patient record you have open in BP. If you have more than one record open, a pop up will appear asking to select the correct record.

  4. Maia will pull the patient’s data into the Medical History column and it will generate the Service Opportunities in the Action Assistant columns. This can take a few seconds.

  5. Continue with your consultation and recording as usual.

  6. The Service Opportunities will update as the consultation progresses, so check back at the end of the appointment for new opportunities (e.g. to rebook patient or include, if time permits, an extra item).
