What is MBS Helper?
MBS Helper is a revolutionary AI-powered feature within mAIscribe, designed to assist Australian doctors with accurate Medicare billing.
It uses a proprietary algorithm that suggests not only the most relevant, but also the most lucrative combination of MBS item numbers after a consultation, helping optimise billing, reduce errors, and ensure compliance.
It sits inside the AI Assistant column in mAIscribe:
How Does It Work?
Step 1: Complete your consultation as usual.
Step 2: Choose the type of consultation - Face-to-Face, Telehealth Phone or Telehealth Video - so it knows which item numbers to use.
Step 3: End the recording by clicking "Finish Recording" and MBS Helper will suggest the most lucrative and relevant MBS item numbers applicable for the duration and content of your consultation.
Step 4: Review, give it feedback (green ticker/red x), and optimise your billing
Note: At present, this feature is exclusively available for General Practitioners (GPs), but we are actively exploring the possibility of extending it to Non-GP Specialists in the future.
